About Khawas Homestay
We take pride in being the pioneers of homestays in Icchey Gaon, starting back in 2011 with just two rooms. At that time, we were unsure who would visit us. Our journey began when a group of guests arrived during the tourist rush in Kalimpong, and we were honored to host our first guests. Their positive experience led them to recommend us to their friends, including a tour operator. Slowly but surely, our homestay gained popularity.
Over the years, our story inspired others in the village, and today, Icchey Gaon is home to around 20 homestays. It brings us joy to see our community thrive in offering warm hospitality to visitors.
We now offer four separate accommodations, ensuring comfort and a memorable stay. Guests can choose from rooms equipped with modern amenities and attached western-style bathrooms. For those seeking a more traditional experience, we have a cozy Traditional Cottage with two rooms that showcase the authentic charm of the region.
