About Mirik Treehouse Homestay
Mirik Treehouse Homestay is situated in Mirik, 200m away from Mirik Lake and 100m away from Mirik Police Station. Mirik Treehouse homestay was founded in 2021 but took 15 years to complete. Mr. Palsang Syangden collected wood for 15 years and did not cut any trees for it. The woods that he collected were from trees that were fell due to landslide or old dead trees. The woods used to build the treehouse were more than a 100 years old and had been planted by his forefathers. Mr. Palsang Syangden took a total of 3 years to finish building the treehouse homestay of his dreams. The whole property was entirely designed and build by him and a team of just 3 people/builders. No trees were cleared for construction as the treehouse is built around and above the trees. The food provided for the guests are supplied from their own home farm. Mirik Treehouse Homestay has won an award for one of the best homestay in district Darjeeling and was awarded by the West Bengal Tourism Department.
